Hi there! I know I’ve been a little quiet on the scene lately. I honestly have a good reason! Since the whirlwind Christmas Season has now passed, I have taken opportunity to work on several wedding albums that take me forever to design. This is one of the projects I love to do, but I have to set aside lots of time to work on them. I have 3 done now and 2 left to do.
I had to send off my main camera to get repaired yesterday. It is still under warantee and some things were a little buggy about it so off it went. It cost me $41.00 to send it to the factory! Of course that is because I had to insure and track it. Kind of an expensive little toy you know…..but one I can’t seem to survive without…..
I am slow with sessions this time of year, but am starting to get phone calls and contacts from the sweet little brides who were proposed to during the holidays…..I get so excited for them as they start to get all the planning underway.
Lots of New Years babies have shown their sweet little faces. I am anxious to get them in the studio shortly for their first little photo session. I never tire of the sweet little newborns.
I got to go ice skating with my daughter and her 3 little boys last week. That was so much fun and I am looking forward to going again real soon. I told Joe that I think I would be so brave to try more stuff on the ice if I was wearing a helmet like our grandson Jace. He basically told me, “you’ve gotta be tough if you’re gunna be dumb”….. I think that was his way of saying I would look like a dork out there on the ice with a helmet on.
The pictures at the top here are of my Grandson, Wylie….he had a special surprise for Christmas with loosing his two teeth within a week. What a great time in a kid’s life. The tooth fairy gave him a dollar for each tooth. You ought to hear him talk….it’s is so awesome! I absolutely love the picture of his new grin. This one will be displayed for a long time at my home.
So, this morning I am just placing orders, doing some editing and then back to work on the albums. All while enjoying the most wonderful coffee I have ever tasted called “Orange Seville” that my son Jate gave me for Christmas. You have got to try it, it is out of this world good. So for all those coffee snobs like me, there’s a new one for you…….
I’m trying hard not to want to listen to Christmas music while I’m working and watching it snow. I know that I can overdo it with those songs until I can’t hardly bear to hear another one, then it seems like Christmas is here again. Better pace myself…..
I’m still enjoying the afternoon walks up the Creek road where I live. I have been walking for 30 years now. I guess it’s in my blood now. The scenery never gets old just more amazing to me. This is such a sweet quiet time for me with the Lord.
I am breaking in a new pair of walking shoes that I bought a couple weeks ago. There is a spot on the toe that has about sent me into orbit with pain. I can’t seem to get it to break in, so I wonder if I have to take the shoes back and get another pair. Arrghh!!!! Oh….I should tell you, if you haven’t tried “Yak Traks” on the slippery roads, you’ve got to…they are amazing! It feels like you are walking with 4 wheel drive! No slippin and slidin’……
Well I will be putting together some specials again soon for Valentines Day and Easter sessions. Drop me a line if you have some brilliant ideas that you would like me to try…….I’m always up for suggestions!
Hope you enjoy this beautiful day and New Year created especially for you!
It’s been nice visiting with you!
Smiles, Carrie
